Our cutting-edge seismic isolators are a meticulously engineered series of components designed for the seismic isolation of bridges. Developed in strict accordance with national standards (GB 20688) and relevant industry norms, and inspired by European standards, these isolators are the brainchild of China Communications First Highway Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. These patented innovations are a result of significant scientific research funded at the provincial and ministerial levels. Having passed rigorous provincial and ministerial scientific and technological achievement appraisals (Shaan Ke Jian Zi [2010] No. 097) and obtained relevant certifications, these isolators have been elevated to the transportation industry standard of the People's Republic of China (JT 2009-26). They are ideally suited for various types of highways and municipal bridges located in earthquake-prone areas with seismic intensity levels of 9 degrees or below.
Our isolation rubber bearings seamlessly combine the complete performance of traditional plate bearings with advanced isolation capabilities, significantly minimizing the seismic impact on bridges. High damping rubber bearings, a subset of these isolation rubber bearings, are crafted from high damping rubber materials, boasting a damping ratio of 10% to 16%. While retaining the familiar shape and structure of natural rubber bearings, these high damping bearings feature an intrinsically high viscosity rubber material that autonomously absorbs energy and exhibits exceptional ductility. This unique composition extends the natural vibration period of structures during seismic events, effectively reducing seismic forces and leveraging energy dissipation characteristics to deliver superior seismic isolation performance, comparable to lead core sandwich rubber bearings.
By utilizing high damping composite rubber material in place of a lead core and adjusting the proportion of filling material, we achieve an enhanced total damping effect, resulting in exceptional energy dissipation capabilities and superior seismic isolation. High damping rubber bearings exhibit stable performance with robust energy dissipation and ductility. These bearings offer higher equivalent viscous damping, translating to greater energy dissipation and remarkable seismic isolation effectiveness. They efficiently manage the seismic response of isolated structures. Additionally, their integrated functions result in a more compact size compared to lead core bearings, conserving space and simplifying construction while also being more cost-effective than lead core sandwich rubber bearings.
