Isolation rubber bearings, including high damping rubber bearings, offer superior performance in reducing earthquake damage to bridges. Made of high damping rubber materials, these isolators achieve a damping ratio of 10% to 16%, extending the natural vibration period of structures during earthquakes. By utilizing energy dissipation characteristics, they effectively isolate seismic forces, providing a seismic isolation role similar to lead core sandwich rubber bearings.
High damping rubber bearings feature stable performance, strong energy dissipation, and ductility. With higher equivalent viscous damping, they offer significant seismic isolation effects, controlling the seismic response of isolated structures.
