They are developed by China Communications First Highway Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., adhering strictly to the current national standards (GB 20688) and pertinent industry norms, while also referencing European standards. These isolators are patented innovations, sponsored by significant scientific and technological research projects at the provincial and ministerial levels. This product series has successfully cleared the provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological achievement appraisal (Shaan Ke Jian Zi [2010]) No. 097 and obtained relevant certifications. Upgraded to the transportation industry standard of the People's Republic of China (JT 2009-26), these isolators are well-suited for various types of highways and municipal bridges situated in earthquake intensity zones of up to 9 degrees.
Isolation rubber bearings not only boast all the superior performance characteristics of plate bearings but also exhibit exceptional isolation capabilities. These bearings are highly effective in mitigating earthquake-induced damage to bridges. High damping rubber bearings, a specific type of isolation rubber bearings, are crafted from high damping rubber materials and can achieve an impressive damping ratio of 10% to 16%. While their shape and structure mirror that of natural rubber bearings, their high-viscosity rubber material provides distinct advantages-it autonomously absorbs energy and showcases remarkable ductility. During seismic events, these bearings can elongate the natural vibration period of the structure, reduce seismic forces, and utilize their energy dissipation properties to offer outstanding seismic isolation, rivaling the performance of lead core sandwich rubber bearings.
By employing high damping composite rubber material instead of a lead core and adjusting the proportion of filler material, we achieve enhanced total damping and robust energy absorption capabilities. This innovative approach results in a significant reduction in isolation effects. High damping rubber bearings are renowned for their stable performance, exceptional energy dissipation, and high ductility. With higher equivalent viscous damping, these bearings provide superior energy dissipation and remarkable seismic isolation effects, efficiently controlling the seismic response of isolated structures.
