As patented technological advancements funded by major provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, their efficacy is well-proven. Having successfully passed the provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological achievement appraisal (Shaan Ke Jian Zi [2010] No. 097) and related certifications, these products have been elevated to the transportation industry standard of the People's Republic of China (JT 2009-26). They are ideally suited for various types of highways and municipal bridges located in seismic intensity areas of 9 degrees and below.
Isolation rubber bearings not only exhibit all the superior performance characteristics of plate bearings but also excel in seismic isolation. These bearings effectively mitigate earthquake-induced damage to bridges. High damping rubber bearings, a specialized type of isolation rubber bearings, are fabricated using high damping rubber materials, enabling them to achieve a damping ratio between 10% and 16%. Although their shape and structure mirror those of natural rubber bearings, their high-viscosity rubber material allows them to autonomously absorb energy with remarkable ductility. During earthquakes, they extend the natural vibration period of structures, diminish seismic forces, and utilize their energy-dissipating properties to provide a seismic isolation effect akin to that of lead core sandwich rubber bearings.
Employing high damping composite rubber material instead of lead core, these bearings adjust the proportion of filling materials to modulate total damping, endowing them with robust energy consumption capabilities. They achieve significant isolation effects, boasting stable performance, exceptional energy dissipation, and high ductility. High damping rubber bearings offer higher equivalent viscous damping, translating to greater energy dissipation. Their seismic isolation efficiency is noteworthy, effectively curbing the seismic response of isolated structures. Thanks to their integrated functionality, they are more compact than lead core bearings, saving space, simplifying construction, and reducing costs compared to lead core sandwich rubber bearings.
