Product Introduction
Description:
High Damping Seismic Isolators
These advanced seismic isolators are meticulously crafted as part of a suite of standard components for seismic isolation bridges, developed by the prestigious China Communications First Highway Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. Adhering to contemporary national standards (GB 20688) and aligned with pertinent industry norms, these isolators also incorporate European standard references. This patented innovation, bankrolled by significant provincial and ministerial scientific research initiatives, has successfully undergone stringent provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological achievement evaluations (Shaan Ke Jian Zi [2010] No. 097) and other critical certifications. Elevated to the transportation industry standard of the People's Republic of China (JT 2009-26), these isolators are specially designed for application across various highways and municipal bridges within seismic intensity zones of 9 degrees and below.
Isolation rubber bearings offer the complete performance profile of plate bearings, coupled with superior isolation capabilities to mitigate earthquake-induced bridge damage. High damping rubber bearings, a specialized variant of isolation rubber bearings, are fabricated from high damping rubber materials achieving a remarkable damping ratio of 10% to 16%. While their form and structure mirror that of natural rubber bearings, their unique high viscosity rubber material allows them to absorb energy effectively and exhibit outstanding ductility. These bearings elongate the natural vibration period of structures during seismic events, reducing seismic forces and leveraging their energy dissipation properties to perform effective seismic isolation, akin to the sophisticated lead core sandwich rubber bearings.
By employing high damping composite rubber material instead of a lead core and adjusting the filler material proportion to modulate total damping, these bearings demonstrate robust energy consumption capabilities and enhanced isolation effects. High damping rubber bearings are characterized by their stable performance, strong energy dissipation, and superior ductility. Their higher equivalent viscous damping translates to greater energy dissipation, leading to significant seismic isolation effects and proficient control over the seismic response of isolated structures. Their multifunctional design results in a smaller volume compared to lead core bearings, optimizing space usage, simplifying construction processes, and offering a more cost-effective solution compared to lead core sandwich rubber bearings.
