Elastomeric bearing pads is made from multiple modified natural or neoprene rubber layers and steel plates through pressure and vulcanization.
The vulcanization (treatment at high temperature and under pressure) gives the elastomer its mechanical characteristics and ensures the perfect bonding of steel and rubber. Full protection of the steel reinforcement from corrosion is assured.
Features:
•  It provide sufficient vertical stiffness to bear the vertical load, and transfer the load of upper structure to the pier and abutment. 
•  It also provide shear deformation to meet the horizontal movement of upper structure.
•  It has good flexibility to fit the rotation of beam end.

Design and fabrication standard:
